History & Tips

Game History

  • Released in 2020 by Stern
  • Design by Steve Ritchie
  • Code by Dean Grover, Raymond Davidson, and Tim Sexton
  • Trivia: first game with Expression Lights – RGB LEDs down each side with custom light shows programed to each song

About THIS Game

  • Halographic aluminum flippers from Precision Pinball – increased accuracy and power over standard flippers
  • Speaker & undercab lighting synced to Expression Lights from Ninjacamp mods.
  • Other upgrades: upgraded speakers & sub, concert topper

Tips & Strategy

  • Just keep hitting the lit shots. Each song has it’s own synced shots, and each one hit makes the next more valuable. There’s a lot more strategy to big scores, but at it’s most basic just jam to the music and hit what’s lit!
  • Left Ramp x3 = Multiball
  • Left scoop start Tours – hit it early. These are simple goals like hitting x numbers of ramps – finish the goal and the scoop lights again to start Tour Multiball. Start a tour early and you’ll usually get the multiball ready without having to focus on it.
  • Complete LED and ZEP to raise the Electric Magic Spinner. Once it’s up, hit the spinner to charge it for a ball lock to start either EM Multiball or Frenzy.
  • It’s a game about combos. Hit a ramp or loop, and you’ll see the red combo area light on most of the others. Hitting any of the targets (LED, ZEP, ROCK, and Ball Save) during a combo “collects” it.
  • You can also use the action button when lit to collect a combo – important if you build a big one that may time out before hitting the target to collect.
  • Clear all the targets mentioned above and you can shoot the Icarus target to multiply ALL scoring for 25 seconds, with the multiplier based on the combos you’ve collected.
