The Southern Indiana Pinball League (SIP) is a great way to meet new people and play pinball in a low-pressure, fun-focused environment. Also, there’s beer.

Schedule and Format

SIP meets alternating Thursdays, 7 Sharp @ Our Lady of Perpetual Hops (Dates vary, check the calendar here). Seasons run three months, with a party for finals scheduled on a Saturday after the seventh meet. The Winter 2025 Season starts 9 January and is $30 for the season (plus nightly coin drop).

Each league night, you’ll be put in a group of 3-4 based on rankings and skill level. You’ll hangout and play 4 games that night with those folks. The results will move your rankings, and decide who plays together at the next meet.

FAQs

SIP Rule #1: Be nice and have fun.

SIP Rule #2: SEE RULE NUMBER ONE. Seriously, SIP is a welcoming FUN environment. If you get frustrated at the game once in a while, no big deal, but any behavior that makes SIP less fun for your league mates will not be tolerated. It’s pinball, not life and death

What if I miss a meet?

Your lowest meet score are dropped from final rankings, so you can miss one per season without a significant penalty.

Is it fun?

YES.

I’m new to pinball, or I’ve never done anything competitive, or I’m just kinda anxious about “competing”

AWESOME. See Rule #1, and come have some fun! You’ll get better playing with others, but who cares – just come have a good time.

I’m not new to pinball, and dig points. Is this an IFPA League?

Yup, you’ll get IFPA points. Just remember Rule #1. Winning the league won’t make you Keith Elwin, and last place still has a damn good time every other Thursday.

Can I join late/mid-season?

If there’s space, though the league usually fills up. However, we usually have a few out, and you can join in with a group who needs a fourth if there’s space that night – you will not be scored and are not eligible for prizes unless you’re a paid member for that season. First time visitors are free, after that it’s $5 each meet, which goes towards league expenses.
